Please contact us if you are interested in our One to One macro photography workshop to arrange a suitable date, both weekdays and weekends available.

We offer one of the largest and most beautiful collection of reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates in the UK for macro photography. All our animals we use for our macro photography workshops are captive bred and are used to being handled.

Our One to One macro photography workshop is a dedicated full or half day session, no previous experience is required for this workshop and you will be able to photograph between 14 and 18 species in our studio.

Bring a photography friend

Don’t want to do this workshop on your own? Bring a photography friend on the day for an additional £80.00 only and share this great day between the both of you.

This offer is available for one additional person only and is exclusive to our One to One macro photography workshop. Please add ‘bring a friend’ in your cart before payment.

What to bring

A DSLR (unfortunately the Canon 2000D and 4000D don’t work with 3rd party strobes) or a mirrorless camera with a standard hot shoe and a macro lens works best. For a crop sensor camera body we recommend a lens with a minimum focal length of 60mm and for a full frame camera body we recommend a lens with a minimum focal length of 90mm. If you don’t own a camera or a macro lens and would love to do one of our workshops, we highly recommend

A tripod is too cumbersome to use in the studio, you could bring a monopod if you prefer. Please ensure the batteries of your camera are fully charged, we do have power points for additional charging throughout the day. Also remember to bring plenty of memory cards as it’s surprising how many pictures you will take.

Our studio is fully equipped, we use the super fast Profoto D2 lights, various modifiers, props and backgrounds.

A packed lunch for the full day. We used to provide lunch but unfortunately this change was forced upon us by the licensing authorities. The costs of complying with their requirements would have been unsustainable and probably would have stopped us running this workshop.

At our studio in Frimley, GU16 9BL, near Camberley in Surrey.
